I am Vanessa, and I come from a Portuguese background. My parents were born in Portugal. I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts. I am a senior in High School and I cannot wait to go to college. I am looking to go to school somewhere near New York City. Maybe I could work for the UN and live in a nice pent house in NYC. That would be the life!!!!!
Hi, my name is Jamie. I am 17, almost 18 years old. I live in Kunming China. I have lived here for over a year. Before I lived here I lived in a lot of different places in the U.S. I am adopted and have been for 3 years now. I have 3 siblings, only one of which actually lives with me. He is my real, biological brother. His name is Ben. He is horribly arrogant, but he is my best friend. We live with our aunt and uncle who adopted us because of a very poor family situation. My younger sister lives with another aunt and uncle in Alabama, USA. I don’t know her very well. My older sister is 21 and lives on her own in Colorado, USA. I don’t know her very well either. I don’t even know where my parents are.
I love living in China. It is a small community here, well that speaks English anyway. I like to spend time with my friends and I LOVE music. I absolutely love hard roc k; it is the absolute best! There are a lot of things that I really like about living here, but one of them, aside from the wonderful public transportation system, is the fact that I can get any movie, 2 days after it comes out in theaters, for 6 kuai, or about 75 cents. Having a cell phone is really cheap, so we all have them. That is nice too. I also really love my lizards, I love reptiles. I have 2 short tailed grass lizards. I love holding them and taking them on the bus and seeing people's reaction to having them on my shirt. Other than that there isn’t really much to do here. Shopping is a no no. The clothes are so weird. About the only things to shop for are music, movies, and jewelry. All of which are cheap. Write back, okay?

I like domestic animals very much and I have a little cat and bird. I like to care of and feeding for them. When I had a free time I like listen to music and read interesting book. My favorite musicians are B. Spears, Eminem, Tarkan and Backstreet boys. I have not big family. There are, father, mother, sister and I. I always help my parents and sister about the house. Hello everybody! My name is Courtney Taylor. I am 15 years old (16 in January), and I am a sophomore at Coventry High School. I live in Coventry, Connecticut, which is in New England in the United States. I can’t even begin to describe how exited I am to begin working with all of you!
I love music. I have been singing since I was very young, taking lessons since I was eight. I've performed in many different types of events; baseball games, fares, and weddings. I taught myself my own little way to play it, along with the guitar. Music is definitely my one true passion!
Hey! My name Keelia O’Donnell, and I live in Boston, Massachusetts. I attend Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Brighton Mass. I am a senior this year, and I cannot wait to graduate. I have fun classes so far at my school, although the days are going by so slow. I don’t know for sure what I am doing yet for college, but I would really like to travel around the country, maybe even the world. I have a small family, but it is very loving. My two siblings, a boy and a girl, are 16 and 19. My little brother is a freshman in high school, and my older sister is a fresh woman in college. I have just recently gone for a job interview to baby-sit two children that live a few blocks away from my house, and I am still waiting to see if I got the job. I hope I get the job because I want to go away for senior trip with all my friends in April, and I cannot wait for that.
Finally, I cannot wait for this weekend because me very good friend from college is coming home for a few days to come and visit me! I cannot wait for that because I miss her so much. I also have to get my SAT information in this week to school so I am really stressed out this week; I have to get ready for college. I hope my college worries will not interrupt my schoolwork because I need to do well.
Hello everyone! As you may know, my name is Elizabeth McGaw. I am 17 and look forward to my 18th birthday on October 18th! yes I am excited, I have 2 brothers a sister, and dog named Max from Millis, Massachusetts. I've lived here for over half my life now. I moved here from the Philippines when I was 7 years old and lived here ever since.
I have been attending school in the USA since I moved here at young age, and learned English fluently soon after. My first language has been lost from my tongue since I have lived here these long years. Love to listen to music being Greenday, pink Floyd etc... well I guess I have to compensate for not being good at playing an instrument, by listening to those whom I marvel at for being incredible.
I have worked at a variety of places such as restaurants, hardware stores, telemarketing, and more, since i was legal to work, being 14 or 15. Though I despise some of the jobs I have been affiliated with, money is always nice and so are the people. And that concludes a little about me intro!
Hi! I’m Allie, I live in Westborough, a small, predominantly white, suburban town in Massachusetts. I live with my parents and my little sister, Jessye, who is 13, and we have 2 dogs, a guinea pig, a hamster, and a bearded dragon, which is a lizard. I love singing, theatre, and tennis, and I’m involved in all of them at my school.
I also volunteer at a nursing home in my town. I organize games, paint the residents’ nails, and just visit with them. I love working there because they are so appreciative, and I can tell how much of a difference it makes to them to have someone there who is willing just to sit and talk with them. I love to make people smile. I’m looking forward to working with all of you!

Hello! My name in Gabriella, and this is my first VHS course. Up to now I think it is okay even though we have to be checking it here very often. I am turning 18 on November 4th, and I am so exited to be of legal age! hehe I can go to prison though, but I am a good girl, I am not worried! lol I love doing sports. I play tennis in the summer and swim everytime I can, but the
game that I love the most is handball. I just would die for playing it! I am very outgoing, and my friends say I am funny and sarcastic in a good way, so don't worry! I just make sarcastic jokes, but nobody ever gets hurt.
I am from Brazil, and I lived there all my life, but the 1 year and a half year that I spent here in Uruguay. I don't like it here very much, people are mean and never excited about doing things. In Brazil people are much more friendly and funny! My life here in Uruguay is very fun though, I have a boyfriend, some American and Brazilian friends who help me a lot when I am missing my friends and family. We ALWAYS go dancing on the weekends, and we love to hang out go to pubs and things like that. When it is warm, we always go to take a walk or ride our bicycles around the neighborhood. Uruguay is a beautiful country and has the MOST AMAZING SKY that I have ever seen!
Hi, My name is Amanda. I'm 16, and I live in Spencer, a small town in Worcester County. I have two older brothers, and loving parents who sacrificed so much to pay for my school. Because we live in such a small town, my parents are sending me to a private school about thirty minutes away. I like to draw, but I'm also especially happy to curl up with a book in front of the fireplace. I also love to write short stories, and novels. I haven't had anything published yet, but that's mainly because I can't find anywhere to have them published.
One of my favorite things to do is play with my dog. She's half Miniature Pinscher, and ha lf Cocker Spaniel. Her name is Ribbons. We take walks together all the time, except for when she wants to run. She sleeps in my bed with me, and if it's cold, I let her sleep under my sheets at the foot of my bed, and she acts like a little radiator, generating heat. Her favorite game is tug-of-war, even though I'm not very good at it. She's really cute, and loves to play.
