Sandra Korthals (Garbsen, Germany) Terrorism is all over the world. All began between America and Iraq. The reason for the war in Iraq is oil. America wants to have this oil. Another reason is that America was thinking that Saddam Hussein had ABC-weapons. ABC weapons are A=Atom bombs, B=Biologic bombs and C= Chemical bombs. The American soldiers went to Iraq to search for the bombs. In this time the terrorism began. The first big attack was at the 11.09.2001 in America. Two Boeings were flying into the World Trace Centre. Many people died and the two Towers broke down. >From this time on other attacks were made in other countries. But why do intelligent people make such things??This question nobody can answer. I am a peaceful human and I think that it would be no problem to end all this war and Terrorism. Why does America want to have the oil? And why don’t they go from Irq when they don’t find the ABC-weapons, like they have said?These are questions which many people think! I think when the America goes from the Iraq and ended the war the Terrorism stopped. Special organisations like Al-Kaida which under Osama Bin laden take attacks to show all politicians that Iraq-people want fighting. The bad is that they are suicide bombers. And there is the war between the two Moslem religions. They fight for peace in the country. I think if they are intelligent they should divide the country like on Zypern Cyprus. One is important that VIOLENCE isn’t a solution, but PEACE is a SOLUTION for all. When political work better for Peace they will do it and then Peace will be all over the world.

Team Ragnarok (Jever, Germany) Hi! Here's team Ragnarok! Main causes of terrorism and how can we solve this social calamity? Causes: We think that terrorists are people, who wants to change something in the political/social system, they also get manipulated by "religious" reasons. The way they choose to express themselves is a destructive one. Solutions: Our opinion is that the best way to solve this problem, is to clear-up the terrorists.We have seen, that fighting against terrorism isn't very effective, so we have to use another way to stop these people. These are our results. What do You think about this? We'd like to discuss this with you.

Lisa-Charleen Schmidt (Garbsen, Germany) I think Terrorism is organized, because I think many people was very angry with some people. That led to the fact that terrorism developed. When somebody is angry with one or more person he plans a lot of plans and implants it. Sometimes they do together with other people and form a group of Terrorism. Most terrorists are in the Islamic faith. And they believe that if one with assassination attempt dies it is so intended by God. The el kaida is the famous group of terror. The first time they appeared in 1998. The leader is the Saudi Arabian Billionaire son and the radical Islamic Ayman A-Zawahiri originating from Egypt. With the end of the Afghanistan war few of the Arab fighters did not return to their homelands. They began to develop particularly in Egypt and Algeria militant movements; a goal was the revolution against the regime corrupt in their eyes. In Algeria many acts of Terrorism followed the outbreak of the civil war of several years. However Saudi Arabia and the USA came into the focus of the "Kaida" interest. Osama Bin Laden disparaged the Saudi king house as not an Islamic, but corrupt and Godless. It was very important for him, that he cleaned the holy soil from the American troops. Terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia and in the USA began and American goals were selected: The World trade center (1993), American troops in Saudi Arabia (1995 and 1996) and the American messages in Nairobi and in Salam (1998). In addition, soon Saudi goals were attacked, although in far smaller extent. The Islamic terrroroists think they find food for their motivationin the Koran and in the Islamic tradition . They think that in the Koran is ordered to the Muslims to kill that one who does not want to convert to the Islam. For strict Muslims each state and company form is despicable outside of Islam and the Scharia. Therefore the Islamic terrrorists see themselves legitimized to destroy the world of the disbelieving ones with acts of terrorism. In the western world a substantial reason is often named, why suicide assassins and others to blow themselves into air: In the Islam there is no warranty that one comes into the paradise after death , even if one did good works whole life long . Everything depends on howAllah will once decide. If however a Muslim in the Dschihad dies, he must wait in the grave not for the court, but comes immediately into the paradise they think. A Dschihad fighter is neither washed after his death nor put into clean cloths. He lies in such a way in the coffin, as it died. Its blood is before Allah an honourable honour. Because their motivation is religiously justified (promise of the paradise), is it far more dangerously than each political motivation. One should seize measures that the Terrorisms do not have any more chances. In addition one could make the countries safer, by using more policemen and seizing also more safety precautions.

Vanessa (Garbsen, Germany) I think the terrorism is very spread in the world. In the past there was no terrorism, it was a friendly world and the people were peaceful and friendly too. But that changed, as the al Qaeda leader told his supporters to crash in the World Trade Centre with aeroplanes. This was on the 11th September 2001 and the world was never the same than before. We all know that we can’t stop the terrorism forever but we all stick together and we must find a way to live with the terrorism. I can not say that I ignore the actual terrorism. I watched the terrible assault in the USA and it’s very hard to see how awful the people must die. The suicide attackers are the same awful persons like the supporters from the terrorism organisation. They don’t care about other people in the surrounding area. They just do that for their leader and hope, that it makes sense to blow themselves up. In my opinion the terrorism is a very big problem nowadays and I hope that someday we can find a way to stop the terrorism.

Marc (Garbsen, Germany) Why terrorism? The terrorist’s think that they choose to liberate the world from the people, who do not believe. They think when they do suicide assassination they come to god! These people are crazy because god wouldn’t like when some people kill other people. These people must be shot because after that they can’t kill other people! I hate terrorists, why to kill other people who were innocent is bad. How bad terrorism is you can see for e.g. at the 11. September! More than 1000 people must die! And why? Some ill people must come to god! The terrorists have got some units! The famous units are Alkaida and Taliban. Ilja (Garbsen, Germany) The main causes of terrorism can be different because there are many groups of terrorists Al Qaida for example.Some of these groups think that they can push through their political aims, other terroristic groups just try to get attention of the people. Such people who belongs to these groups are very aggresive and would die for their aims.When I think back in the past the worst attempt for me was on the 11. september 2001, when the Al Qaida hijacked two airplanes and crashed into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York. I couldn't belive that as I saw such cruel pictures on TV, only thought how could such a kind of people do that and how many innocent people were assassinated in such an action, how many mothers and fathers wouldn't come back home to their families. In my opinion we only can solve these big problem when we trying to war on terrorism or trying to solve the political way and making peace with them

Kristin (Garbsen, Germany) At first I will tell you what terrorism is and then I will try to say which are the main causes of it. Later I will find propositions for solve this problem. Today we have a big problem of terrorism. I think it is the biggest problem because mostly we don’t know who are the terrorists. We can’t catch them and for that reason they can ruin more and more towns. They let explode department stores, restaurants or other buildings where are many people. And when there are many peoples then mean it that many peoples are dieing. For example the bad event in the U.S.A. with the world trade centre. It was the 11. September 2001 when a plane flew in one of the two towers. But not many times later there was a second plane which flew in the other tower. The employees in this two buildings left very fast but not all were able to left because the staircases were to full or they chocked on the dense smoke. Many people died there because later the towers tumbled down. And under the rubbles and ashes they can’t live through. But there is an other form of terrorism. To give an example when terrorists occupy a building like a bank to reach something then it is mostly so that there the terrorists with guns which they often use to shot on police mans or other people who try to storm the building. Okay enough about that lets try to say reasons for this. In my opinion this people have a mental illness. If they occupy a bank then I think they want to have the money for a beautiful life. In other situations maybe they want to have action or they want to show how strong they are. I think that this people had a bad childhood and in this time no one has take them seriously. But now they want to show that they are better than this people. They show with these actions that they are stronger and that they are able to do a big thing. Another reason can be that they were alone and now they want to let out their aggressive feelings on this way. Or maybe they were subordinate and now they want to show that they are really stronger and that they have the power to let people do what they want and not to let do what the now lower classes are wanting. Maybe there are other causes but if yes I don’t know. To find solutions for that problem is very difficult because if there is a solution I think then the politicians who are occupying with it have found a solution. And when I’m sincerest then I can say that I haven’t an idea to solute this big problem. I know that this is a social problem because its concern the hole world. Maybe we have to look that no one is alone in his childhood or that no one is pestering or other problems in the school and in childhood. Because I think that if a man or woman had a good childhood then he hasn’t a reason to do these actions. Kristin Seidensticker

Marina (Garbsen, Germany) The aim of terrorism is that everybody has fear. In my opinion terrorists are very stupid people, because the want to reach things, but they do nothing to reach this. They persuade any person and say to him or her, if you do this, then you will be a big star and everybody adores you. Many people like this and so they do things, what other persons wouldn't do. So the people, who reach anything, have to do only a little thing, they must make plans for assassination and the dangerous things have to be done by other persons. If the police catch the terrorists, then they catch only the killers but the true terrorism sit at another place and plan the next assassination. The terrorism has to do with violence every time. If you ask terrorism about the sense of this act then you get mostly the following answer: "I do this only for my religion." In the opinion from the terrorism is the act justifiable, because this persons think only on the religion and not on the politic and in his religion it is so, that everybody must fight, that the influence from the politics destroy the religion. Not everybody has the same religion and so between the different religions are fights. The terrorism likes attention and so they do theeir acts not in a detached house but also at a place, where many people are for example world Trade centre, underground or big schools. In general if you like to prevent terrorism than you have to change the political system first. The most terrorism you find in the eastern countries. The east countries are a good base, because there live many people without a school diploma. These persons don't get an education place. Often they think their only chance is to join a terrorism group. They haven't any future plan. In these groups they learn to scare people. The people, who get into such a group haven't enough to eat and to drink, because they haven't any work. So if you ask me, I think you have to find a good solution, that also the people get money, they haven't a good school diploma, Because if they have a bit money, they can look after her families. And are not forced to take so a terrible work. In my view a democracy in these countries is very helpful. As people are able to imitate the school diploma, they can do any work.
